Often people have a way of getting themselves hurt and even killed when trying to do the same to other animals. Throuought the year 2008 PETA has recorded the top 10 "pay back" storys:
10.While striking his dog with a gun to make him release a bone, a man managed to shoot himself
9.Man played with snake at the zoo and ended up being strangled and eaten
8.While trying to chase wasps with fire, he got burned to death
7.While hunting a deer, the man fell off the clif
6.A man used chemicals to kill the insects in his house which lead to an explosion that destroyed most of his appartment
5.While sea kitten hunting a man managed to put a hook through his hand
4.A bear who was held captive attacked the trainer
3.A young boy was taught to use weaponds to hunt animals and 2 men ended up being shot by this boy

"Donna Karan, the Bunny Butcher"
The clothing industry kills millions of animals every year. The animals on the fur farms spend their whole lives forced into cramped , filthy wire cages with no room to even move. The fur farmers kill the animals by breaking their necks, suffication, poisioning, hanged, bled to death and electricuted by having rods injected into their rectums frying the animals from inside out. While being tortured these animals will often scream, shake and cry but noone cares. China is the worst for animal cruelty. Donna Karen is well aware of the way these animals are treated, boycott Donna Karen!
Personaly i would never wear anything that was real fur, probably not even fo fur. But if for some reason i had to choose, i would deffinetly choose fo fur. I dont think its worth supporting the fur farmers who are killing the animals in filthy and discusting ways. The people who buy real fur are just buying it because they want other people to look at them so they feel rich. These people are paying huge money for fur, when there are so many different options. You might not even know "whos skin you are in". "Chinese fur is often deliberately mislabeled, so, if you wear any fur, there's no way of knowing whose skin you're in".
Altho there are so many other designers that use more fur in their designs then Donna so why isnt PETA targetting them?

Purdue University Kills
After recieving a email from a Purdue student looking to find a home for one of the dogs used in her class PETA reasearched, and found some disturbing information about Purdue University’s Veterinary Technology Program. In the program students are depended on to find a home for the animals and if they fail to find a home, the dog is killed. PETA sent a letter to the University stateing that there is much easier way of learning this without hurting healthy animals. They asked Purdue to "perform the procedures only on animals who are living in homes and who will receive a direct medical benefit from them, and to begin working with veterinarians in a clinical setting and with mannequins."
i dont understand how Purdue University could get away with doing this. You would think the program would atleast teach the students some care for animals if thye are taking a Veterinary Technology Program. If i were one of the students i would have informed someone about this, the students are the ones paying for their education so they could have easily protested and not done it.

Pop Princes, or Animal Abuser?
Britney Spears was once a pop princes and an idol to many children. but that quickly changed. While crying and complaining about being about how she hates to be held up in her guarded house and can't feel free. You would think that she of all people would realize what captive animals are going through when they're used for entertainment. The difference is that Britney chooses to perform and the Innocent animals have no choice. In her new video "circus" shes showing elephants and lions dressed in circus attire and doing tricks they shouldn't be able to do. PETA is trying to tell Britney to stop using animals in her acts, but they need our help.
Back in the day when Britney was a idol to many children it was definitely not a good thing. She has always been sporting the fur coats, real leather etc. Growing up with an idol like Britney would make you think all of that was the right thing to do which is one of the many reasons of fur buyers. Now that Britney is finally making a come back into the star business she has already disappointed many people in her new video "circus". This isn't the first time this has happened, a while back Britney also involved a zebra in one of her videos. "Animals are ripped away from their mothers at a young age, kept in chains, and prodded with electric shock devices to make them perform." Britney should be informed. Although I wouldn't blame Britney for the whole idea, her director is really the one to blame.

adopt a mutt, follow Obama's lead
Michelle Obama was quoted as saying that the family is planning to adopt a rescue dog. PETA sent a letter to the Obama family when they heard the family was planning to get a new dog. The letter stated that a mutt should be the national dog. Hopefully the Obama listened to the letter and is why they are deciding to adopt a mutt.
I think it was a good idea for PETA to send the letter recomending that the Obama family adops a mutt in need. Since America is now looking up to Obama it will set a good example for the rest of America to follow. Hopefully this will change a lot of peoples minds and encourage them to rescue a puppy who needs a home. If more people rescue animals it will slow the business of all other company's like Pet Smart and eventually stop them from selling and torturing animals.

tourture to slaughterhouse
A truck carrying nearly 200 live pigs to a slaughterhouse overturned on the highway, trapping some pigs in the wreckage for hours. "Approximately 65 pigs were killed by the impact, died from their injuries, or were killed at the site of the accident by responding workers." The pigs that did survive were were pulled by their ears and hit in the face with tools on their way to be slaughtered. Smithfield's self-touted "industry-leading accident response program" is ignored by most of Murphy-Brown's employees and ineffectively enforced by supervisors.
This isn't a joke, at the beginning of the video you can clearly hear the pigs squealing and you see no one doing any ting about it. To get the surviving pigs back into the truck they pulled their ears and hit them in the face."Even the pork industry says should never be used to hit animals."

What Is Iams Hiding?
for almost 10 months a PETA investigator worked undercover at Sinclair Research Center, a laboratory hired by Iams, and discovered what really goes on behind closed doors of the dog- and cat-food manufacturer. The U.S. Department of Agriculture investigated PETA's complaint and agreed that the laboratory had failed to provide the animals any basic care. Sinclair Research Center paid a penalty of $33,000 for its violations. Iams then agreed to make significant changes in its testing program, but now refuses to let PETA see inside of their new laboratory.
"Dogs had gone crazy because they were confined to barren steel cages and cement cells, dogs were left piled on a filthy paint-chipped floor after chunks of muscle had been hacked from their thighs, dogs were surgically debarked, and horribly sick dogs and cats were neglected and left in cages to suffer without any veterinary care."All the companies like Iams don't care about the health and well being of these animals, all they want it money. The only way we can stop the cruelty is to buy dog and cat food from a company that doesn't test on animals, for example: "footage shows that Iams representatives toured the facility and witnessed dogs who were circling in their cells and sweltering in the summer heat. Iams knew the truth yet did nothing to protect the animals." "They claim that this laboratory provides a decent environment for the animals, but they refuse to allow a PETA representative to see inside." Obviously if they are not allowing PETA to see inside, Iams is hiding something it shouldn't be. For that reason, is why we need to stop purchasing food from companies tested on animals.
